For the past couple of months I have been having bad chest pains mainly on my right side. However, in the past few weeks the pain seems to be getting much worse every day. In the last week, I have been getting pain even in my right hand, yesterday it clenched into a claw shape and was difficult to move for at least 5 minutes. My heart rate has become rapidly fast; I have been experiencing a lot of shakiness, cold and hot sweats, slight dizziness and difficult breathing when the pain is really bad. I know it is not anxiety because I did have that a couple years ago, and it was a much different feeling. I am a seventeen-year-old female, healthy, 5’7 110pounds, with regular exercise. Hoping someone might know what’s going on! :) Thank-you for your time!

I don't know for sure about your symptoms but wanted to mention that I had the exact same symptom where my hands clenched tight into a claw. This was accompanied by tingling in my arms. It turns out I was hyperventilating without realizing it. My chest was tight, and I thought I might've been having a heart attack, so I started taking deep breaths, but I wasn't having a heart attack, so all I did was bring on a severe case of hyperventilation. :)

  • You could be suffering from a heart disease. Whatever the problem is, you need to face it sooner rather than later. Get yourself tested at a good center. It is better to get diagnosed early than face an emergency situation. I would recommend that you also learn more about your symptoms and consult a good doctor. You can do this through the cardiovascular network of Meridian Hospital. They are well known for taking care of cardiovasular issues.
