I am currently 20 years old. When I was 16 I started to get chest pains. Some so bad that it would nearly knock the the air right out of me. But they'd only last maybe 10-30 seconds. So my mother had taken me to the doctors and I had an EKG done and wore a holter moniter for 48hrs. The EKG came back that I had a slight murmur, but the holter moniter report came up negative. Every time I had a chest pain, I would press the button, and when I did, nothing showed u. So my doctor at the time said I had Mitral Valve Prolapse. The doctor had put me on Toprol XL to ease the chest pain. Well didn't help. So I had taken myself off of it. I've always had cold hands and cold feet. My nail beds are blue when my hand aren't moving. I have chest pains pretty much every day. More times a day more then others. I'm tired all the time. So I went to the doctors again, (Military Doctor) about a year ago and he did a ECG, and found nothing. He said that I didn't have Mitral Valve Prolapse and it was anxiety and put me on Xanax. Which made me looney. (That I had taken myself off of too). Now I'm on nothing still with the same symptoms. Is it Mitral Valve Prolapse?

  • What kind of Doctor have you been seeing for this have you been to a cardiologist at all?If you have been then I suggest that you go and see a different Dr. all together what country do you live in?chest pain is not a normal everyday thing so there has to be something going on in your body and you need to find a really good dr to take your case on

  • I live here in the good ole US. Most of the time the pain isn't that bad, granted it is chest pain. Also, the last doctor I went to for it he put me on prenatal pills. He said I might have a magnesium deficency. Which the prenatal pills didn't do anything for me. My only problem is that my doctors are military, and for me to been seen by a specialist I'd have to be refered out. So if they don't see anything wrong, they won't refer me out.
