Occasional Chest Pains

I'm 22 and occasionally I get a stabbing pain in my chest that last a couple second and goes away, also during this time it is very painful to breath. About probably 3 years ago I asked my doctor about and I have an chest xray done, but it was clear. I have within normal everything when it comes to my health, except I have notice over the past year everytime I try to give blood my pulse is very high so I can't. Is this something I should bring up with my doctor again? I had to change doctors because of insurance change after I got the results of the xray, so nothing else came of the discussion, but since its so short when it comes I never remember to bring it up when I'm at the doctor. What could be causing this?

  • Something that people do not think about, is gas. Gas pains can be felt in the heart region. I first had this symptom when I was in my early 20s.Was really sharp, lasted a few seconds, but felt like a heart problem.Breathing was even worse, as it increased the pain. I still have this happen every few months.
