I have a really red face and nose but I don't have any other Rosacea related symptoms. What could it be? I also have poor circulation to the extremities. Thanks.

  • Could be Lupus, those are both symptoms, look up lupus butterfly rash pics and see if it looks like your face. Maybe look up Lupus and see if it sounds like it could be that. Good luck.

Duncan Why do you not think it is rosacea? You don't have to have all of the symptoms...do you have any discomfort or warm sensation to the face and nose? Is it all the time or does it only flare up now and then? How long have you had this problem? Is it worse with stress? DOM

  • Hi,There is hope for rosacea patients, it is curable. Here is some more information on rosacea that could be of help to you.The treatment of Rosacea has been the issue many doctors are debating about. Some claim there is no particular treatment. Research has however suggested that taking action early in the disorder’s development stages can greatly help in suppressing it. Doctors now suggest that the patient avoid situations such as extreme cold weather which trigger disorder. The other is to practice skin cleansing using cleansers that do not irritate the skin. Medications include normal antibiotics and sulphur. They help to reduce the redness and skin inflammation. Advanced technology has however seen the introduction of the dermatological vascular laser machines, whose beams are used to damage the inflated capillaries.
