I just googled high platelets and came across this site.
My problem is I went to my doc the other day because I was feeling ill. I was having heart palps, and feeling dizzy and tired, and my doc took a blood test. He called me back the next day to ask me to come back and repeat my blood test. He said my platelet count was way too high, it was 792.
I also was told my sugar level is too high, and have diabetes. I also have high blood pressure, and I have a heart rythym problem which I had to go back on meds. I haven't gotten the results yet, but I am very scared. I asked him if it was an infection and he said no, he didn't think it was. I just wanted to know if anyone had any ideas what this may be, having a platelet count that high. I talk with my doc tomorrow.
