I was wondering if anyone can help me?!

I'm a 27 year old male and sometimes I get this feeling either when im sitting down or lying in bed.

My heart will be beating normally, then it will feel like it has stoped then it will give a huge beat and go back to normal.

Imagine this as my heart beat. boo boom, boo boom, boo boom (pauses for a second or two then BOOM!!!!!!!!! then back to normal

When this happens it makes my whole body jolt.

Does anyone else out there suffer from this?

If so can you tell me why this happens

  • Don't guess about your heart or delay seeing a GOOD heart doc. I am fortunate to be here today. I tried not to believe i could have a serious problem but wound up having 4 bypasses which SAVED my life.

  • I am a 52 year-old female and have had this symptom for years. You may be having "PVC's", or "premature ventricular contractions". This Mayo Clinic article may be helpful to you. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/premature-ventricular-contractions/DS00949

  • Mine does that too, but I have wolff parkinson white syndrome/mirtral valve prolapse. I also drink too much coffee. But it will happen when you dont drink it as well with wpw. Another symptom of heart probs is cold hands, because I have low blood pressure and it doesnt circulate right. Im not a doctor and dont work in the health field, Im just putting in suggestions here.
