This may be an obvious question but I'd like a real answer. How does your weight affect your resting heart rate?

I would have thought the heavier you are the faster your heart beats, but I've found a few places that say "the bigger you are the slower your heart".

Please verify this? I would consider myself "small" right now as I need to gain weight, but I'm not sure what affect that's going to have on my heart rate because it's already over 80 at rest (I'm anemic). My brother on the other hand is quite overweight and he says his heart rate is in the 50s! Whether it is or not I don't know.

No thoughts or opinions please, I'd like an actual answer.
