To start i am 18 year old and have been doing a ketosis(low carbs like atkins) diet for a few weeks now and just recently last weekend when i was in a store i noticed that when i bent over to pick up an item i could feel a little flutter or "jump" in my heart so this being a little scary i decided to stop doing the ketosis diet and just go back to eating a good balanced diet. but since it has been 2 days and the problem really hasn't gotten to much better i did a little research and i read that low carb diets can cause low potassium and magnesium levels that in relation cause heart palpitations so i really have been trying to eat alot of foods with those those properties but how long does it normally take for the body to restore its supplies? Also hypothetically if lets say i did some how damage my heart from the low carb diet crap is it possible if i stay on a normal balance diet for the heart to heal itself over time?

Thanks a bunch guys,
Will

  • The palpatations may go away by eliminating caffeine. They also may go away by taking a tablespoon of Black Strap Molasses before bed. The chest pains may go away by adding 1/8 - 1 tsp. cayenne pepper to a quarter cup of water and chugging it... I do this twice a day. Also, have your blood pressure and cholesteral checked. If either are high, Apple Cider Vinegar may work. I have personally tried each of these, and they have all worked for me.
