I just wanted to alert the group to a recent FDA recall of products sold under the name Stamina-Rx which could have adverse effects if you take nitrates.

The recall came following an FDA lab analysis that found the product contained the undeclared ingredient benzamidenafil, which is in the same therapeutic class of active pharmaceutical ingredients that are FDA-approved for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.

You can get more information on this recall from the FDA's official recall at http://www.fda.gov/Safety/MedWatch/SafetyInformation/SafetyAlertsforHumanMedicalProducts/ucm168017.htm, as well as on our web site: http://www.safemedicines.org/2009/06/staminarx-recall-nitrates-fda-alert.html. You can also sign up for future alerts at SafeMedicines.org.
