My friend has started to hit the gym every day of the week. He does a manual labour job 4 days a week and on his working days, is at the gym for an hour. Non-working days -- an hour and a half or more. He has hypertension and I wanted to know if it is advised he do less or if this is beneficial for him to work out so often?
I think he is doing this so often as part of an eating disorder... a form of 'manorexia...' as he has a history of bulimia and this seems to be his new obsession. But it is his high blood pressure due to the hypertension that makes me worry he is taxing his body too much.
Am I worrying over nothing? Maybe this is a good move on his part?
