Hi everyone. A little background first. Hopefully someone can give me some help, or at least peace of mind. I'm 24, normal weight, fairly active, fairly healthy. About a month ago I started having some pain throughout my rib cage, as well as coughing, mostly allergies I think. Then about 2 weeks ago, one spot near my sternum on the right side began to hurt, almost like a muscle strain, but feels deeper. Sometimes it's on my left side in the same spot, but not as often. It doesn't hurt all the time and sometimes shoots over to my shoulder, or up through my neck slightly, which gets sorta sore. It tends to happen more if I'm stressed about it or after a lot of activity. I was at the Dr about a week ago, and apparently I had slightly high blood pressure (something I've never had, not once). When i went back a few days later for a checkup (since he thought i had bronchitis, which triggered asthma. not sure i did though) my blood pressure was fine again. I have no history of any heart problems, and no underlying medical conditions that I know about. Does any of this sound heart-related? Or perhaps it's just muscles? I don't really have any other symptoms other than a slight lingering cough. Any ideas?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
