Hello all,
2 days ago i woke up to a terrible pain in my right middle finger, at the top most joint. It is swollen, and i can see an enlarged portion of a vein under the skin.

Over the the time it has gotten somewhat larger, and painfull when i touch things or bend the finger.

My question: If this is indeed a clot, are clots in the fingers dangerous enough to warrant a trip to ER/hospital? From research ive done i cant find any treatments of such a case.

Thanks you in advance for replies.

  • Did you injure your finger? Is there a burning sensation? I am not familiar with clots being in the fingers - seems more likely either a cyst or perhaps gout? Either way it is best to go to a doctor and have them check it out. Best wishesDOM
