I've had it for a year now, although it is getting worse. Other symptoms include hair loss, fatiuge, and missed periods. I also have a low resting heart rate (below 50) but up until now I had believed it was because I am conditioned.
Initially I thought I was overtrained and undernurished, although my sports doctor disagreed and my complaints were stress related. Wanting to be certain however, I decreased my training intensities, (both cardio and resistance) and have upped my caloric intake. I have now gained about 10 pounds and am probably around 17% body fat (initially I was flyweight, at around 110 & 5'2" and 13% body fat (I am female) ). Hence, I am ruling out malnutrition as the culprit (wrongdianosis suggests anoerexia as a possible diagnosis). I also think by decreasing my resistance workout, I have ruled out a chest wall injury.
Looking back, my problems started about the same time I switched over to Yasmin as a BCP and I wonder if high potassium may be culprit (this has never been tested).
To date, I have had a chest xray which came back fine and my thyroid tested. I realize I need to find a doctor who believes an ekg is in order, and stop going to these doctors who think I am too healthy to have these problems.
Any thoughts are appreciated.
