Hope I'm posting this in the right place...
Whenever I defecate, get get very bad chest pains. It feels like a balloon is inflating in my chest, in the general vicinity of my heart. It happens when I ***t, too. After I'm done using the toilet, the pain lasts for a while, albeit dull, and I feel very weak. The pain is also present when I use my left arm for strenuous tasks. I've had an EKG done, which showed up nothing, and did a stress test, where they were able to get a 75% reading, which showed up nothing. No doctor has been able to tell me anything yet, they just keep asking me to go back for more and more tests, but I'm a college student, and quite frankly just can't afford it. Anyone have any ideas? I'm terrified to use the bathroom now, for fear of dying in a humiliating manner.
On an unrelated note (I'll make another post in the appropriate forum) I have similar swelling feelings in the back of my skull when performing strenuous tasks such as running or lifting; even coughing or laughing (and as above, defecating) causes this swelling sensation, in "bursts" that come in rythm with the action (ie, a quick, brief swelling when I cough, repeated swelling sensations when I laugh). A CAT scan on my head turned up nothing, no sign of aneurysm. The swelling intensifies if I bend over, like to tie my shoe, and is accompanied by numbness in the back of my head and a chronic numbness on the top of my head.
