i am growing concerned about a pain i get in my back around where my heart is when i play soccer, that pain is usually sharp for about 5 minutes then it goes away on its own, and i wont get it until i play soccer the next time, i am physically fit and am unsure as to why i am getting these pains. sometimes when i run i put my hand on where the pain is and its directly on where my heart beats i also get very slight headaches with this chest pain.

i saw the doctors on several occastions a few years ago about different problems as i was always feeling there was something wrong with me in terms of being seriously ill. My doctor did some blood tests and chest xray and everything was fine. My doctor later prescribed me with anti anxiety pills as he said i was causing myself stress pains and making myself feel dizzy by basically over reacting to every pain i got, i have since stopped taking anti anxiety tablets and learned to ignore any pains i may get, but this particular pains has got me worried about things again as it is sharp and happens everytime i play soccer

  • Hi there, I am 23 and I am also on anti anxiety pills because I always think that any little niggle I get has got to be something serious. Infact earlier today I was having pains in my chest like a strange pain, I have had it before and it's usually nothing but myself being paranoid. Don't worry I think you are talking yourself into worrying about nothing. I always think I have something wrong with my heart but it's just me persuading myself. Your pills should help you calm down, If your docotor isin't worried neither should you. Chest pains during exercise is not unherd of and could quite easily be a stich or something. wish you wellkyla

  • hypocondriasis...unless your doctor says otherwise, there is nothing wrong except the fact that you seem to be a hypcondriac, someone who believes they are ill when they are not or overreact to and exagerate when they feel the slightest pain or symptom. The danger of hypocondriasis is that the person might be so into it that they could actually get sick, thus having a mind over matter conditioning....if i explain myself correctly..sorry to put it so bluntlyMVPO
