I am not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, but I was hoping someone can help me. I have had a lump in my neck for months. I was originally told it was a swollen lymph node and put on antibiotics. This did nothing. I am now being told it is my carotid artery. However, no one can explain to me why the artery is bulging out of my neck. I am just wondering if anyone has had a similar situation. I am unsure if I should be concerned or not. Please, any information would be helpful. Thank you.

  • Do you have more blood flowing through the carotid? (And also swollen lymph nodes in the region.) That's what I have. I've been told it usually means there is a blockage but it is all clear.Do you have any dental work??What kind of tests have you had?Best wishes
