I have a past history of A-Fib. Does anyone know if it is safe or not to wear a respirator at work? I am an aircraft mechanic and have asked for a reasonable accomodation of no aircraft fuel tank work with a respirator. This is not an undue hardship for the company. Another reason for asking for the restriction is I also have asthma and had an asthma attack when doing this work. I have had no asthma problems whatsoever when avoiding the respirator use and just doing my other work in the hanger.
