I'm a 22 year old female, I've had bloodwork done recently, and everything is fine. I don't smoke, am not overweight and I have started noticing a problem a few days ago. I recently started birth control, not even a month ago, and my gyno told me that if i notice any strange feelings or pains in my legs to be concerned. Well, I noticed on my left leg, behind the knee (where you bend your leg) there is slight swelling and also there is pressure and very slight pain when I walk, it's very hard to describe.

Is it really possible that I could have a clogged artery or something at the age of 22?

  • Wow, this is exactly what I'm experiencing. I've been searching all over trying to find out if this is typical or just something I'm worrying over that's really nothing. I'm only 28, have been taking BC pills for years. Noticed this some little last year, but it seemed to subside. The strange pressure behind my leg/knee has returned & it feels like a vein issue. Something tells me it's worth getting checked out. Going to doctor tomorrow morning. Curious what you found out, if you went to doctor, etc.
