I just noticed yesterday that my very skinny (BMI 13.5) son has a distended vein on his leg just below and around the knee. It is not lumpy, or blue/purple like a varicose vein but I've never seen anything like it in a young child. When he is sitting it is not visible....only present when he's standing. He also bruises very easily. I've been googling but can't find anything...is this cause for concern? Has anyone ever heard of a skinny 6yo w/prominent (cord-like) veins on the legs?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
