Not sure what this is anymore. I have three children and have breast fed them all. My youngest is now 11 months old. I had a purple lump on my left breast... it appeared to be a bruise. I noticed it about 4 or 5 months ago. It looked a lot like a hematoma...and I thought perhaps it was caused by my daughter latching on wrong. It did not hurt, so I left it and did warm compresses but still it did not go away. But since there was no pain I disregarded it. Tonight I was going to take a shower, and I noticed that there was a dry patch covering the purple lump it was tan in color and appeared as flakey or peeling piece of skin. I continued with my shower... but the tan colored skin came off...and I noticed a black discharge from this once purple lump... ran warm water on it...until all the black discharge was gone...but now there is a pea size hole in breast, and underneath the hole there is a quarter size area where there is no tissue. There is still no pain... actually it feels rather numb. But, there is a deep hole in the breast. Go to the doctor... yes of course... should have a long time ago... I realize that now. But the doctor is out of the office until Thursday... today is Tuesday. I rinsed it well with water...and cleaned it with betadine. My question is... has anyone ever heard of something like this or had something like this... and if so what was it. Yes im going to the doctor... just as soon as her office is open again... just was wanting a little heads up...Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
