My girlfriend of almost 9 years is currently in the hospital and everyone is telling her that she has terminal cancer, this seems rather strange to me since NONE of her blood, urine, fluid or any other tests she has recieved come up positive....the diagnosis is based on their claim that a biopsy was done and cancer was found on her liver.....It would seem that if this was in fact cancer on her liver that her blood would test positive...and yet nothing... she has a fistula which caused leakage of fecal matter into her vaginal canal and resulted in a massive infection and has since had a colostomy bag implanted and the infection seems to be clearing up the hospital has been pushing VERY hard for us to place her in Hospice care so that she can die "pain free" but we are reluctant to give up this easily...she is only 48 years old and has a 14 year old daughter who she needs to see grow up.... Is it even possable that a previously diagnosed
calcification on her liver has been misdiagnosed as cancer and what would be the ramifications of such a horrible misdiagnosis. How would we even go about finding out if this is in fact a misdiagnosis since neither her nor myself are rich and she recieves Social security and therefore only has medicaid???

  • Get a second opinion! I was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in my bones 3 years ago. I was not sick when I was told this and still am not sick. My bloodwork and all other tests has been normal. I too had a biopsy that was to have been positive. After 1 year, I have enough and went to Mayo and they said my scan was negative,no cancer! I was previously told that I had cancer in 14 different places in my bones. I have not been sick, lost weight or have to take even a Tylenol for pain.
