Colon/Rectal Cancer? Or just hemroids?

Hi, I'm on here using my brothers account. But I'm an 18 year old female who noticed had a small bump on my lower rectum about 8 months ago. I've been brushing it off as a hemroid because I'm only 18 and have no trace of cancer in my family. I'm not over weight. I live a rather healthy life and do not smoke. However, recently I have noticed yellow-white mucus in my bowel movement and in my anus. This has me quite worried. Also, I notice it's rather itchy down there, and I know I don't have parasites because I get treated regularily. I'm also quite gassy and when I have a bowel movement I feel like I have to go again and only small amounts of bowel movement will come out. In the past few weeks ive noticed very tiny traces of blood in my stool and some blood comes out on my toilet paper along with yellow ish mucus. I'm really shy to go and ask a doctor about this, but I know it might be something serious. Has anybody had this problem before? The reason why I've been brushing it off as a hemroid is because it's only about 2.5 inche into my anus on my rectum, I though colon cancer was something you can't feel for yourself but rather something a doctor would notice. I'm really worried and anything you have to say would be greatly appreciated

  • I have similar issues and my doc said they are hemorroids. There is a Test for Life Kit you can by at CVS - EZ Detect to test for blood in stool at home. It is FDA approved and a good first step if you are concerned. Also, look into IBS or Inflammatory Bowel Disease either, if you have any other symptoms. There is a video at www.abcactionnews.com/health click test for life and then click on the video scrolls on the right.
