  • Hi Sam: My father has lymphoma too. His has the type that was not causing any flare when diagnosed, non-hodgkins follicular. I don't know the stage. He has since began having problems with alternating constipation, diarrhea and has been hospitalized twice now for dehydration. He has gotten so weak he can no longer walk, gets out of breath by just standing, doesn't eat much, has frequent desire to urinate but doesn't go much, lost so much strength, was falling alot like your grandmother before this. His spleen is enlarged is all they have told us and they think all his new symptoms are from active lymphoma. I'm not aware of any problem with his vision. He doesn't have any pain either. He was tired alot and recently said he is sleeping alot now throughout the day although he is not on any medication that would make him sleepy. They suggested chemo but they told him it only helps 30% of the patients so he has decided against it. They have now put him on hospice care at home. I have no idea how long he has. It's very scarey because he is going down hill so fast.

  • :( My father passed away 2 weeks ago. They didn't seem to know how it had progressed until it was too late. Once they figured out it was his Lymphoma that was giving him all these symptoms they gave him 3-6 months. He died 2 weeks later.
