Can anyone tell me about this ( Androstenedione producing tumours), My blood tests revealled my Androstenedione level to be 23nmol/L and according to MDS Labs the normal range is 1.6-8.8nmol/L. The Doctor has already ruled out any Adrenal Gland Tumour and is now focusing on the Ovaries. I just want to know if this might be an indication of cancer.
Thank You to All

  • It can certainly be an indication, but it's no good to worry about it. It could be lots of other things. Most cancers are easily treatable these days, though, so even if that IS what it turns out to be, it's not the death sentence that it used to be. Most people with ovarian cancer go into remission and go on to live full, healthy lives. :)
