I am 45 years old-3 months ago I had a duct (papilloma) and a cyst(benign) taken from my left breast. The reason being that I had bloody discharge coming from nipple for over a year. Since the surgery I have had sharp shooting pains and almost always a dull ache in that breast. I have no insurance and am still trying to pay on the last surgery and a few days ago my breast was really aching and I checked it out and the nipple is leaking bloody fluid again(enough to show up on my sports bra). And actually more red and more fluid than before surgery. In a different spot on my nipple also. My nipple is burning also. Since my last results came back negative and they took the so called problem out why am I having these symptoms again and worse this time? Please help I'm really scared this time and being with no insurance and lots of Dr bills doesn't help! Why is this doing this again even though it was taken care of?

  • Honey, I am having problems right now with my breast.. I do not know where you live but you need to have a biopsy and go straight to a general surgeon for these test and for him to evaluate you. If you live in Texas get to MD Anderson Hospital Emergency room. Even if you have no insurance!

  • Thanks for your input.. Yes I do believe your right I need to get back to the general surgeon. I went to the er here in WV and dr seems to think it is cellulitis.Put me on Levaquin. I think she is crazy-I don't think cellulitis would make my nipple leak blood! My test on cyst and duct they biopsied 3 months ago came back ok.I just really don't understand why it is starting this bleeding again. My Grandma passed from breast cancer years ago so I'm pretty freaked out about it! You take care!
