I'm 28 and for the last 4-5 years I experience severe beasts pain about a week before my period. My periods are generally heavy. I did not get my first period till I was 13.
I am over weight but I have lost some weight. At my heaviest point was about 5 years ago at 290 pounds my periods just stopped for a little over a year. I lost 60 pounds and after I lost the first 20 pounds my periods came back but that is when my breast pain started. My weight has been up and down, right now I'm around 260, 4 years ago I was 230 6 months ago I was 275.
I also have severe Keloids that cover my chest and breasts and I used to get cortisol steroid injections to help shrink them down. I stopped the injections about 5 years ago.
There is a history of diabetes in my family both my mother and father have it and I was diagnosed pre-diabetic 5 years ago. I also have a hypo active thyroid, and high blood pressure which is most likely caused by my weight.
Now there is known history of breast cancer, my aunt passed about 4 months ago.
I have depression and medications do little to help.
I am frustrated with doctors because I feel like they don't care what I have to say.
My doctor says I have fibrocystic breasts and I have to cut dairy and caffeine from my diet. I tried herbal remedies and they don't work. I rely on NSAID pain medication it is the only thing that stops the pain when it starts up. I am more sensitive to the cold. I where extra layers when I go out in the winter. I also dread washing dishes by hand because I might get my t-shirt wet and pain would soon follow.

  • Fibrocystic breats (benign lumps). This is a fairly common disease. The only downfall is that you have to be careful in doing breast exams, etc. since the fibroids get in the way of finding problem lumps.
