I have stage 3A breast cancer, left breast. I had 6 out of 6 lymph nodes in left arm test positive for cancer.
November/December 2008 (2 years ago) i went to a doctor as i had a lump under my left arm,it was deep in the arm pit .He gave me antibiotics and sent me home, i went back 3 or 4 times as it did not go down, i had a mammogram and it was clear so i was given more antibiotics (stronger ones this time) This went on for 3 or 4 months. During this time my temperature would go up and down this is why he thought it was an infection. Anyways i am wondering if this was the beginning stages of my breast cancer as i remember him saying it was in the breast tail but at no time did he send me to have it biopsied. Knowing what i know now it freaks me out that i could have caught it at stage one.
I have tried talking to my oncologist about it and he won't say anything. It has crossed my mind that he thinks i will file a malpractice suite and doesnt want to be involved ?? What are your thoughts on this ?
