sudden sharp head pains-fainting

Hi -

I'm wondering if anyone has either had or heard of similar symptoms. I have starting having fainting episodes since this past May. I have had a total of 5 from May - Oct 2006. Most of which are accompanied with sudden sharp pains to the head (like someones poking you with a sharp object). 1 - 1/2 yrs ago they started & were followed by blacking out or sometimes I could see little white lights, other times I would be sitting at my computer & all of a sudden I get these pains & it would feel like I had stood up too fast. They did all kinds of blood work & an MRI of the head. Nothing. Everything looked normal. It was ruled out as stress.

Then it started again this past May. No white lights this time. Sudden feeling of extreme fatigue, weakness, off-balance (at times dizzy), head pains, & then I faint.

Have had e trips to the ER, tons of blood work, an ECHO, a tilt test, & now a trip to the Neurologist is next. All tests come back normal. Was diagnosed with an MVP 7 years ago which was not detectable on ECHO done 2 weeks ago.

Any input/advice is appreciated. Thank you!!
