 I had surgery for Chiari I malformation in 1996 (removed part of skull) and after the severe pain afterwards I got over it and did well..Had a car wreck last Nov. now MRI says it is back and have a pouch of CSF at the lower base of brain. I'm in so bad pain and other systems and no one wants to help me...I am worse than ever... This is a strange illness, isn't it. They also said it was sym..something..*the xray people...Doctors think I just out to get money for wreck...shoot, they call this old injury so that's not the reason..I DON'T CARE..I JUST WANT HELP...

  • You MUST go to The Chiari Institute in Great Neck NY on Long Island. Dr. Kula, Neurologist, Drs. Milhorat & Bolognese are the absolute best in the world. They know more about ACM than anyone else. They have done more research and more surgeries than anyone else. They have changed the surgical protocols and procedures for ACM surgery. They know more about chiari and associated conditions and disorders. They are always researching and learning more. Drs. Milhorat and Kula have been involved with research into ACM for many years, and their researched is cited in many, most others' research. You must trust them. They are incredibly wonderful and compassionate. They listen to their patients. I am very sorry you are suffering so much. I know how bad it can get. Please CALL The Chiari Insitute at: 516-571-4400 and make an appointment for a consultation. Let me know what happens & when you will be going to see them. Love,Maureen
