My son is 6 years old and for 2 years we have tried to find out what is wrong with him. In Feb of 04 he passed out on our way back from vacation. When he came through his eyes wiggled back a forth for about 2 mins. When we got home we had EEG, MRI, and CTScan. The only thing the test showed was he had some sinus problems and needed to get ears tubes. After having the ear tubes put in he was fine for 7 months. After the 7 months he began to have bouts of nystagmus and dizziness. These bouts normal only last for about 5 mins and he seems to be fine again. In the past 6 months he had about 5 of the episodes. Has anybody every experienced something like this? I am worried he will have one of these spells when he is climbing stairs or playground equipment and fall and hurt himself.
1. He is very much uncoordinated.
2. He has poor vision and is farsighted with a lazy eye.
3. Constant cough and running nose
4. He requires a lot of sleep.
