Hello, I'm hoping that someone online here will be able to help me get to the bottom of these symptoms I have been experiencing. I am a 27 year old female, soon to be 28 though. I have been experiencing these strange episodes ever since I was a little girl. They used to frighten the ***l out of me but now it makes me paranoid. Fearing that I will not be able to get out of my current confused state.

it seems as though these episodes are triggered by low toned music or regular tones like ring tones and also repetitive noises like a lawnmower, dialtone or PBS TVtest tone.
What I experience is prety hard to put into words but I will do my best. Ok. Everything I hear sounds lke it is in fast forward minus the squeaky chipmunk voices. My own thoughts are swirling around in my head at like 150mph, I have not mentioned anything to my doctor as of yet because I really don't know how to explain it and I don't want to come off as if Im going crazy.
Please, I am confident that someone can give me some insight into this problem of mine.
I look forward to hearing from you guys soon.

  • Come on people! Please, this is not a joke. I need at least one person to talk to about this. So far 60+ people have read my post but have for some reason refrained from commenting. It took a lot of guts to come forward with this problem of mine that I have been dealing with my entire life. I understand that a lot of people are on this site to perhaps find other people with similar problems as they but it doesn't hurt to start a dialogue with someone who has completely different problems . Sometimes people just need someone to open up to. So, Like I said before......Come on people!! I know you guys can do better than this. Thanks for none of your time.

  • Hello. I know you are suffering, but please try to be patient; someone will answer you soon...my thread has a lot of veiws too, but only some replies, and I was suprised that anyone even read it, let alone wrote me back. I know how you don't want to come off as crazy to your doctor, but you really need to find out why this is happening...if I was in your situation, I would be scared to death...mine started when I was 17 and now I'm 25; long enough for me, I couldn't imagine having something my whole life like you've had; I am very sorry that you have had this for that long without a answer. But there are lots of intelligent people here who I'm sure would be able to help you figure it out, and give you advice; I've only been here since April, and I've gotten more help and advice from the people here that I've ever got from any doctor since I've been having my problems; believe me, it took everything I had to talk about it, too, but be patient; someone will help you.

  • Jamie H,Thank you for responding to my thread and reassuring me. This is my first time ever submitting a thread and I need to be patient. You didn't have to post anything but you chose to and I think that says something about you; something a lot of people lack nowadays, compassion. :cool:Thanks for caring,Selkie

  • Hi Selkie. You can call me Jamie. Thank you so much for your kind words, and you're very welcome, I'm here anytime, and I'm glad I was able to help. And, I haven't wrote a thread before, either, so you're not alone. Have you made an appointment yet?Yes, this world is seriously lacking in people caring; they're out there, but there's a lot of jerks, too; but there are people left in this world who actually care about others; you just have to find them. I hope that you can get a diagnosis soon, so you don't have to feel like this anymore; and that says something about you, too: you're so brave for going through this; I could never handle it, I have a hard enough time dealing with my symptoms every day; let alone what you're having to go through. Take care, and I hope you can find out something soon. Good luck.

  • Hi Selkie. How are you doing? I hope you're doing better. I'm so sorry nobody else has answered you since June; unfortunately, yours isn't the only question that has fallen through the cracks on this site...I think people get busy and wait for somebody to reply, then before you know it, it's been weeks or months by the time somebody finally responds...I guess it all depends on what people ask...I don't know, but people don't deserve to be ignored. And, for the record, I don't think you have lyme; I know some here have it, but it seems to be the popular suggestion; but I guess that's just my opinion. Anyway, did you ever go to a neurologist to see what's going on? I hope you've gotten a answer. Oh, if you want to ever want to talk, or vent, here's my email address: jamie2653@yahoo.comTake care.
