Hi I'm a 26yr old female with serious memory loss. Any input would be appreciated!

I have had terrible memory since childhood. My friends/family tell me that I have the worst memory of anyone they've ever met. I can remember textbook information, but my long term (and even short term) memory of everyday experiences (and significant experiences) is almost nonexistent. I have always figured it's just who I am but I'm starting to worry that there is a medical reason. I have been looking into symptoms and poor sleep is listed as one. My fiancé tells me I have sleep apnea, but that only started about 3 years ago. I have also noticed that my speech is declining, I am slurring words, and I am completely blanking on common words. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  • Hi, I have been studying alot on T.E.A. and have also read about T.G.A. It sounds ALOT like T.G.A. although you dont have amnesia symptoms, just forgetfulness. I would start with a memory dpecualist at UCSF or STANDFORD ....Not sure where your from.
