Hello I am new here and to forums in general. I have only found one other website that has AC people and not very many.
I am a 35 female that has a 5.6cm arachnoid cyst in the posteria fossa ( back of the brain) It was found after an unrelated biopsy surgey. once I woke up from there I was never the same. I have head pressure, pain, left sided pyralisis, spasms, seizures and blackouts. I still have not found a doctor that is willing to take my case.
I hope there is someone here who understands.

It sounds like you should have surgery such as a shunt put in. A more evasive surgery is one that I had it is called an open craniotomy. I am Canadian and had full surgery here paid for by our National Medicare system. I see that you posted a while ago I hope you have found help. I will check back to see if you are around.

  • I would suggest contacting The Skull Base Institute in Los Angeles. They have a website through which you can call and speak to someone. Dr. Shahinian is amazing and DOES know how an AC can and does effect us. He did my operation, and the best part is that he goes in through the eyebrow so there is no visible scar and no hair loss.Best of luck,Jennifer I am 46 years old, female and AC was discovered about 2 years ago due to MRI for headaches and pain.
