I am inquiring as research for a project and here is my question:
Is it possible that an MRI scan would lead to a false negative diagnosis for a brain tumor?
By false negative I mean that would the patient be diagnosed as not having a brain tumor when the patient actually does have a brain tumor.
Also, what would cause a false negative with an MRI?
Thank you.
