This is my first time on one of these but i am looking for some help and hopefully with the wonders of this internet that maybe someone can reach out and help me understand or give me some advice.
My Daughter who is 5 yrs old has been previsionally diagnosed with ataxia telangiectasia, i have been to see the doctor today who has been looking at her for the past few years.
What the doctor told me and has found are the following.....
1. Leah (My Daughter has some external sysmtoms of AT (Red blood shot in the corner of her eyes which isnt very prominant, a shaking that saw at different times and she has a slight balance problem which is a little questionable as she is 5)
2. Leah has had medical bllod tests to look for a increased sensitity to radition and this came out out with no problems, also they have looked into the testing of her white and read bloodcells and this came back normal aswell.
3. Leah has had brain scans and other tests and these have came back normal.
The only thing that leah hasnt had is a test for the Chromosome that is responsible for the AT Synndrome/Disease....a blood test will be getting taken this coming monday.
What i would like to understand/know from anyone who can shed some light on this is
1. Can leah have some external symptoms and her blood tests that have been done came up clear???
Is this possible or if she did defo has AT??
I hope someone can help me........
