Hello -- does anyone have any experience with fungal meningitis. My Dad was diagnosed almost 18 months ago and is now hospitalised (for about the fourth time, but in a serious, semi-comatose state). The shunt fron his brain keeps blocking with fungus, but to date, a culture cannot be grown from fungus or pieces of brain removed for testing. All the doctors can say, in all honest, is they 'don't know'. I have previously had no knowledge of this condition. Does anyone have any information or advice about experts (anywhere in the world), drugs, treatment. Many thanks in advance for any replies.

  • It sounds very serious. I am very sorry. What I know that is good for fungus infections is Oil of Oregano but because he has meningitis- you should consult with an Herbal Medicine professional before giving it to him.Oil of oregano blast fungus instantly and it is safe for the body- it is a food supplement. But when it comes down to the brain- professionals must be involved.A doctor of Oriental Medicine certified herbalist can prescribe him the right herb and treat him to boost his immunity.Furthermore- there is a NAET modality (naet.com) that can reverse the infection as well by coaching the brain to assimilate the fungus w/o creating dangerous inflammatory responses.I myself was invaded by a bacterial infection in my pancreas and liver, and I cleared with this NAET treatment and the Oregano.NAET is very safe- it is all acupressure but it is safe and effective on infections.Find a doctor at NAET.com.Sincerely, Fruity. With NAET, once the infection is completely clear, it should never come back. In fact, I have not had any type of infection in over 7 months, not flu, not a cold. I treated viruses, bacteria, and mold as well.

  • Thank you so much for the advice and kind thoughts -- we will try anything. I will consult with Dad's doctor and print off your note. Again, thank you. • You are welcome!I forgot to mention Querecitin, Bromelain to reduce inflammation. One is extracted from the sweet potatoe or yam, and the other one from Pineapple. If your Dad tolerates these 2 foods, he should be able to take the food supplement to reduce the brain inflammation.May God Bless You always,Fruity.
