Hello -- does anyone have any experience with fungal meningitis. My Dad was diagnosed almost 18 months ago and is now hospitalised (for about the fourth time, but in a serious, semi-comatose state). The shunt fron his brain keeps blocking with fungus, but to date, a culture cannot be grown from fungus or pieces of brain removed for testing. All the doctors can say, in all honest, is they 'don't know'. I have previously had no knowledge of this condition. Does anyone have any information or advice about experts (anywhere in the world), drugs, treatment. Many thanks in advance for any replies.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
