5 year old trouble remembering names and events

My almost 5 year old has always been a little bit "different." The best way to describe it is that she is a bit odd, you never really know what she will say. At first I just thought she was a creative child and just doesn't care to much about the facts around her, but I am starting to get very worried.

She has never been able to remember people's names very well. She doesn't even know her Uncle and Aunts names unless we prompt her with the first letters. She only remembers her friends names in her class and just calls everyone else "boy" or "girl."

She gets along well with other children and she knows all her letters and numbers and can read small books, but there is just something different that I can't figure out.

Also, she doesn't remember events very well, and she can easily go into her own little world. She can play by herself for hours, but has a hard time sitting still for adult conversations, dinner, movies...ect

She seems to act very young for her age (she is the youngest child). When she doesn't get her own way she cries...in fact, she cries a lot about the smallest most insignificant details.

Any help would be very much appreciated.
