Hi to all ,

Had a slipped epiphysis when i was 17 ( 13 years ago ) had 2 screws removed from my left leg but was to scared to get the others out, and knowadays i am suffering with alot of pain in my right hip. Does anyone think this could be to do with still having screws in my hip. i get like a grinding pain alot ( not a very good description srry ) and very painfull . The only thing that gives me pain relief is not legal .

  • i know the feeling i get like a grinding pain alot ( not a very good description srry ) and very painfull i had both hips pinned, left about 14 years ago, right side was down 12 years ago. they did try to remove the pins 10 years ago but failed the bone had grown around the pins and they couldn;t get at them without breaking both my legs.i get the very same pains as you described except the pain radiates down my legs also. As for the pain killers, you might be on to something becuase none of the traditional pain killers help.George

  • I don't know if this would work for you or not. Have you been to a sports medicine doc/pain clinic?? They might be able to use the florascope, and go in to give you a lidocaine shot. It took care of my hip problems, with the sacroliliac joint dysfunction. There are alot of new procedures being done, that older docs don't know abt...Just might be something to look into, better than usesless pain meds..... Hope you can feel better soon.
