I'm 15 years old and in 2003 I had Osteomyelitis in my collar bone, I recieved treatment through IV and had an operation to drain the bacteria from the bone. I was put on antibiotics and sent home after about a month.

Now, I'm getting pains again in the same place, I've gone to the doctors and recieved antibiotics. My collar bone is slightly swollen and aching alot, which is also going to the back of my shoulder blade. I'm also getting alot of the symptoms that match Osteomyelitis, including discomfort, chills, redness and swelling, warmth around the area and general ill feeling.

Is it possible I'll have to go through the same procedure as I did in 2003?

I'm quite scared and worried that I'll have to go through it again, as you can imagine it wasn't one of the best times of my life, and it dosen't help that im terrified of needles and IV medication.

Any response would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Rach.
