Hi, all. I also have a broken femur from rollerblading. It happened 8/30/2010 and had a surgery the next day. I was put a rod into my femur and 2 screws above the knee and 3 screws on my hip bone. After surgery I was told that I had lost quite a lot of blood so my hemoglobin rate was low. And I had such less energy and no appetite but I`m good now.
It`s almost 8 weeks and I don`t have pain anymore and am able to lift the leg but am not able to bend the knee.(up till 90~100 degree is maximum)
My next follow up is in 3 weeks and I`ll take the very first X ray after surgery. I hope I`ll see any sign of bone healing that time!!
My doctor only told me one exercise, leg lifting and didn`t mention about physio. I don`t know that my bone is not strong enough to get physiotherapy yet or not.
Owell, guys, I hope we all heal as fast as possible and walk again with strong tow legs!!
