Hip and Lower Back Pain as a Result of Injury to Ribs

I recently fell off my horse and broke 6 ribs. I have recuperated from the fractures from 3 months ago with the exception of some minor rib pain. However, recently over the past couple weeks I have been experiencing hip and lower back pain. I have never had joint pain in my hips before and am wondering if this could be the result of the injury I sustained 3 months ago. When I impacted the ground, I landed on my right back side between my shoulder and hip. Since I had no pain in the hip area when I was treated at the emergency room, no x-rays were taken of that area.

I was curious to see if anyone out there may have suffered from hip pain as a result to an injury to the back or rib areas.

  • i lifted a heavy concrete planter and later that night could not move. previous to that i had pains in my abdomen, and now it seems like it's so painful that i can not move. i dono if it's a result of injury to my ribs incurred from the planter or if my pain in lower right abdomen is gettin worse from something having nothing to do with the planter.. i have freequent urinations and problems with my bowel. i'm really very gassy and fever all the time. the pain is very bad. i dono what to do. antibiotics aren't making it go away (we suspected pneunomnia.. but now i dono what it is)..
