2 grands in the same family have these...the 2 yr old is now in a study in San Diego but being followed in Nashville. Her platelets run anywhere from 400,000 up to the 900,000. Complains of severe headaches when the platelets get real high. They were told to give her aspirin or tylenol and if no relief take her to ER and to tell them to watch/preventive mesures taken for strokes.
Now the younger sister was put in hospital having test. She was running high fever, rash and they are thinking she has kawaski disease. To do a ct of the heart to see if any coronary artery damage done.
The oldest child soon to be 6 was born with very severe allergies but he has now outgrown them, or at least can now eat peanut butter and some of the other foods.
Anyone had any experiences with these problems?
Only blood disorders we can even think on was the mother's grandmother had some type of blood disorder so we are wondering if could be related. I work in the medical field but this is unreal.
