I'm just looking for some sort of input. I am 24 Female, six months ago I noticed my lymph nodes in my groin were swollen and my entire leg hurt. The pain seemed to wrap around my hip then shoot down the back of my leg. I immediatly went to the gyno to get it checked out. She examined me and said there was nothing wrong just a swollen lymph node and that my body was most likely just fighting off an infection. She said it would go away by itself in a week or two. Well needless to say it did not get better at all. It's gotten worse, the size has more than doubled since then, my ankle is swollen the back of my knee is swollen. My leg gets tingly and my lymph nodes are constanly hurting and THROBBING it's gotten unbearable. I just feel sickly and not myself. I just want to sleep and get dizzy. I never followed up with my doctor since I lost my insurance. Do you think it's worth a trip to the ER? The swelling is so bad you can clearly see it across the room no need to even feel them, you can see them throbbing. I just feel so much movement in that area too, and the pain is constant.

  • hii.....m sad to hear about you.... nywz wud like to help u if i cn in some way....swelling in d inguinal lymph node situated in d groin region may be due to various factors.....it is impotant to kno hw it started and how is it progressing.....(fast or slow)does it it cause any purulent product out through a sinus??in your case......i advice u to meet a pathologist immediately and not a gynacologist....get ur lymph node aspirated and FNAC biopsy)shall be done to confirm the diagnosis.....it cn be-probably a sarcoma-an osteosarcoma.....orrhabdomyosarcoma from the skeletal muscles....or it cn be an infection......which has progressed......under the absence of antibiotic therapy......u cn do one thing......consult a pathologist and start a course of streptomicin or a penicillin(amoxycillin) or vancomycin+gentamicin.....do nt neglect....... plz......nd be quick......get well soon nd reply me when u r treated......god bless u...nd tk cre....

  • Yes go to the ER it could be cancer. Fatigue, swollen lymph nodes are signs of possible cancer. Please go get it looked at!I'm just looking for some sort of input. Hi i'm in the same situation, it has also been 6 months it is getting from bad to worse, had byopsy and it is not cancer, lymph node was reactive which means it is fighting something somewhere but they cannot find where , all blood work OK, urine tests Ok, kidneys and liver functions ok...

There are different doctors and different specialists for different things.. gyno is probably the wrong kind of doctor to be asking.
