No visual symptoms, but HDL total <5 and high MVC

I am healthy or at least seemingly healthy 21 yo female. I had routine blood work done and my HDL levels came back as <5 and I have a MVC > 100. I am not an alcoholic, I am a healthy weight and watch what I eat, and exercise regularly. My doctor has no clue what could be the cause. There is no family history of anything like this and I do not have any visual symptoms.
What could be the issue and how dangerous is this?
