I have a small neck lump on the left side of my neck over the carotid artery. I noticed it at the start of March. I made an appointment, and the doctor said it was probably just a swollen lumph node. At the follow up visit, the Dr. seemed more interested, since he noted that the lump was over the carotid artery. And I also had an itchy rash, over my cheeks and chin. And I had a couple itching episodes where from my shoulders up was itching like mad but it only lasted 2-3 hours. He prescribed a steroid cream for the itching. I'm often very tired, too. He thought maybe it could be lupus. So,I had two blood tests, CBC and an ANA. Both came back normal.
Anyway, my third follow up visit is on June 11th. Should I consider going to an ENT? Or maybe even an edocrionologist? I don't know if I should just wait and see what my Dr thinks, or if I should just start looking into another Dr.
I honestly thought this would turn out to be nothing, but now I'm starting to think maybe this is something that needs looking into...
Has anyone had these symptoms and did it turn out to be lupus, following a negative ANA? Or anything at all similar?
