Hello I have the liver disease scleroscing cholangitis and am experiencing extreme itiching on my limbs. The only thing that seems to stop this is Benadryl but I can only take that at night. Is there anything to stop the itching during the day? Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

  • you need to get your Dr. to write you a scrip for Questrean Its a powder used to lower colestoral but as a side effect it fixes the itching assosiated with liver damage. It takes about 4-5 days to kick in, also Phenobarbitol a barbituate used to stop seasure activity works fast like 1-2 days for me and my itching was a 2 outa ten not a 9 like before. -Dave

It is used in long term care facilities and we call it the miracle cream! It is amazing - if you can find it, it will help with the itching, totally safe with no side effects! It costs approx $16 a tube but well worth it and a little goes a long way!

Creams never helped me but Thermaskin anti itch spray with capsaicin worked right away. It is made with hot pepper extract and is natural but it doesn't burn. It worked for me.
