I have had a lot of headaches, some dizzy spells and vertigo and several other symptoms that I suspect may indicate PV. Does anyone have more information on this blood disorder, I understand that red platelets are increased, but would this be conclusive in a test, or is the diagnosis based on symptomatic evidence? I understand treatment is basic, with blood letting and blood thinners. Does anyone know the overall prognosis? At 61 it is hard for me to maintain an occupation as a pilot at the best of times with health issues, and I suspect this PV, if proven, would be the end of my flying career, which is fine, I just need to know.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
