Well I did post my situation on the cannot get a diagnosis, however after extensive blood tests my internist said I have: ehler danlos syndrome and Beta thalassemia minor.
I have a fetal hemoglobin of 6% and hem A of 90%
my hem S is normal and hem A2 is 2.8%
I was reading about beta thalassemia and according to what it said, minor BT doesnt cause any symptoms, however I have a heat intolerance, constantly tired after noon where I really need to crash in bed, I turn pale during the day at different times, sometimes I get dizzy...and none of this seems to have anything to do with thalassemia!!! If I only carry the gene and have no symptoms whats the point in knowing about it??
Im not happy with the diagnosis he made, and even though he might be one of the top hematologist-internists in the country, I think something else might be going on.
