About a month ago I noticed that I had a large lump on my neck, (by large I mean about the size of an EGG). I could not get in to see my regular Dr. so I went to a Walk-In Clinic. The Dr. told me that I had a blocked Saliva gland but no infection so it was not serious and to go home and suck on a lemon and eat tart candies and all that jazz. Well, It didn’t go away and it’s been about a couple of weeks so I called my family Dr. and he called in a script of Antibiotics (without seeing me) and told me to take them all. I did. It’s been a little over a month now and I finally got in to see my family Dr. and he just told me that it’s NOT a blocked saliva gland, it’s a lymph node and he does NOT like this at all and I have to have a cat scan right away
(next Thursday). It’s still the size of an egg and it’s only on the right side of my neck. It does not hurt at all and it’s very hard. Someone please tell me something because now I’m freaking out. Any advise at all? besides of coarse getting a new DR. !!!
