Does anyone know how this bacteria gets started? I know someone that has this diagnoses and it started in the mouth, and went to the heart which formed an abscess there by their valve which was just replaced. Could it be from use of illegal drugs? This person is very sick and is going to have surgery come Monday the 18th of Dec. which includes opening up the chest and replacing the valve and removing the abscess, if it doesn't kill them first or on the table.

  • Hi there. I actually just suffered from this bacteria for 3 months. It was finally discovered and it went to my heart, as well. I had to ungergo openheart surgery.Anyway, it is possible it came from drug use, but it can also come from a dentist appointment or anu oral incedent. The docs think that I simply got it from brushing my teeth. How crazy is that?I hope youor friend gets will soon!Jess
